is the author of Common Dragonflies of California. Hiking the fields and hills, camping, and collecting specimens inspired Kathy and her husband to convert their swimming pool into a wildlife garden pond with mostly native plants and the dragonflies that arrived became her passion. She has now moved to British Columbia where she has spent many more years collecting local specimens and studying their habits.
